The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon
When the Holy Bible first came forth from the Hebrew language, from the Israelites of the Old Testament, and then through the Greek from the Apostles of the New Testament, it was perfect. The words were perfectly placed, and the doctrines and covenants pure and powerful.
Somehow, as the apostles were killed by Roman occupation, trying to snuff out Jesus’ influence, they realized they could never fully do it, so instead, they were influenced by Satan, to use Christ as a means of controlling people, by setting up a different church instead.
Constantine and his constituents, then underwent the lengthy process of defining what that looked like. Developing the Trinity, which is not even in The Bible, and removing and changing many truths, and adding things that were not accurate, but served their purposes. In doing so, the plainness of the words, and even placement of them, and the previous sentence structure, lost the original purity, and power of the scriptures, and other doctrines and covenants.
The Bible now has so many imperfections and holes in it, that a companion supplement was so desperately needed. This is why the Lord had a branch of Israel, set apart and separated to a place where corruption couldn’t penetrate it, although it was attempted many times. The Book was constantly under prophetic protection, and written over a thousand year period, in which time the Lord instructed the people, and even personally ministered to them after His resurrection. This book was directly translated not by a man or men, for the language had been lost, but by the gift, and power of God, to a young prophet in 1829.
